We began the images on this page by scanning copyright-free line drawings from various sources. We then used computer programs to "color" them,
pasting colors, shading and painting on a computer. The proper proportions of the images were maintained throughout the process. We are not trained thangka painters, though we try to be as correct as possible, observing and drawing inspiration and what we hope are the proper colors to use for the images from thangkas printed, given to and shared with us. As far as we know, these images are reliable to be used in visualizations when other sources are not available. We apologize for any inaccuracies in these renderings.
