Ven. Losang Drimay was ordained in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition in 1991, following the teachings of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. She worked in California at the FPMT International Office from 1989–92 then traveled in India for one year, visiting various Buddhist pilgrimage sites and attending teachings.
Upon her return to America, she worked at Vajrapani Institute where she held several different roles. She moved to Land of Calm Abiding in January 1998, where she remained in strict retreat until May 2001.
Ven. Drimay lives and teaches at Land of Medicine Buddha in Soquel, CA as well as teaching at other Buddhist Centers and venues in the Bay Area and the United States.

It’s hard to ignore the polarization currently gripping our world and many struggle with how to remain peaceful in such uncertain times. We’re excited to welcome Ven. Losang Drimay back to Missoula from Land of Medicine Buddha in California for a series of talks and teachings on how to use the divisiveness of our current world to fuel our spiritual practice. Ven. Drimay will offer a public talk and a weekend workshop on this important topic.
